Hudson Valley Property Group (HVPG), a leading, national affordable housing preservation company, announced today it has hired Gleb Lerman as Acquisitions Director and promoted Alexandra Coleman from her role in business development and acquisitions to Chief of Staff across HVPG.
Gleb will help drive HVPG’s portfolio growth by securing strategic partnerships and portfolio-wide investment opportunities, elevating the quality of affordable housing across the United States. Previously, Gleb founded a real estate investment start-up, focused on creating affordable home-ownership opportunities; he was also a Vice President of Acquisitions in the investment management group of L+M Development Partners. Additionally, Gleb has held roles at CBRE and Miller Cicero focusing on affordable housing advisory. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Baruch College and a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University.
“We’re thrilled that Gleb is joining the HVPG team as we continue to grow our footprint preserving and improving affordable housing in the U.S.,” said Jason Bordainick, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of HVPG, and founder of Off Campus Partners, the nation’s largest online marketplace for off-campus housing. “As an entrepreneur myself, I appreciate Gleb’s entrepreneurial experience and know his background in complex transaction and investment structuring within affordable housing will complement and bolster our team and company culture.”
“The urgency around the preservation of affordable housing has never been greater, as more stakeholders reach that conclusion it’s important to have organizations with strong track records, deep expertise, access to capital and operational capabilities to drive complicated preservation transactions, said Lerman. “That is why I’m excited to join HVPG which I have witnessed evolve from a two-person startup to a vertically integrated organization with over $2BN in preservation transactions. I hope to build upon that trajectory through strategic initiatives that take advantage of HVPG’s reputation, access to capital and expertise.
For the past six years, Coleman has worked in various capacities across the firm to help scale the organization, most recently as Director on the Acquisitions team. She has played an integral role in Originations, Business Development, Investor Relations, Acquisitions Project Management, and Marketing, amidst the firm’s explosive growth from 1,100 units to more than 8,300 units, a 654% increase.
“Alexandra is an indispensable team member and colleague whose depth of experience and leadership has benefited nearly every division of the HVPG business,” said Andy Cavaluzzi, Partner and Co-Founder of HVPG. “We’re excited to congratulate Alexandra on her well-deserved promotion to Chief of Staff. She has always sought a career where she could ‘do well by doing good’ and exemplifies what HVPG was built around to directly invest in families’ homes and quality of living across the nation. Her proven ability to be a generalist and a specialist while leading through service to our residents and the HVPG team makes her the perfect leader for this role.”
“I’m proud that we work hard at HVPG, and I can see it translate into safer and better homes for our residents,” commented Coleman. “The only thing I might love more than that is the people that I work with every day at our organization to achieve this. This is the next generation of affordable housing, and I’m thrilled to move into the Chief of Staff role to support the growth of our brain trust and impact driven business model.”
Before HVPG, Coleman worked at Auction.com within their Dispositions and Acquisitions groups. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and Master of Science, Real Estate from Baruch College’s School of Business.
