Hudson Valley Property Group (HVPG), a leading, national affordable housing preservation company, today announced the promotion of five individuals across its various teams, effective immediately. The promoted team members include Chris Schilling, Fredy Sosa, Jeremy Tucker, Russell Sang and Matt Doty.

About the Promoted Team Members
In HVPG’s Acquisitions team, Chris Schilling has been promoted to Head of Acquisitions. In this role, he will help to oversee and implement the firm’s investment strategy from sourcing through to execution. He manages the acquisitions team and works closely with the firm’s lenders, investors, sellers, agency partners and local municipalities. Mr. Schilling received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College and his master’s in economics from Miami University and has been with HVPG for over six years, previously serving as a Director on the Acquisitions team.
In HVPG’s Asset Management team, Jeremy Tucker has been promoted from Analyst to Asset Manager. In his new role he will manage portfolio-wide reporting, valuations, and operational initiatives, including expanding social service offerings to residents. Mr. Tucker received his bachelor’s in commercial real estate finance from the College of Charleston.
Within HVPG’s Design and Construction team, Russell Sang has been promoted to Project Manager. In this role, he will lead various components of HVPG renovation projects from initial physical diligence and vendor selection, through project planning and active construction. He will liaise with general contractors, architects, relocation specialists and onsite teams, and focus on executing a variety of sustainability and green improvement initiatives. Mr. Sang received his bachelor’s in construction management from Drexel University.
In HVPG’s Accounting and Finance team, Matt Doty has been promoted to Chief Accounting & Compliance Officer. In this role, he will oversee all areas of accounting along with financial reporting across HVPG’s portfolio and is responsible for overseeing HVPG’s compliance programs. With 20+ years’ experience in real estate, he will work closely with the HVPG internal team as well as the firm’s lenders, tax credit investors, general contractors and external accounting and legal teams. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Transylvania University.
Fredy Sosa, also within HVPG’s Accounting and Finance team, has been promoted to Fund Controller. In his new position, Mr. Sosa will serve in an investor-facing role and oversee all accounting related to HVPG’s private funds and REITs. He received his bachelor’s in accounting from Berkeley College.
