Sheffin is responsible for analyzing and executing HVPG property acquisitions and investments. Sheffin has diverse experiences in the real estate field spanning corporate, government, and non-profit settings. Before joining HVPG, Sheffin worked for The NHP Foundation where he managed the acquisition and development of multiple affordable housing tax credit and investment projects across multiple states. Prior to The NHP Foundation, Sheffin worked at Prudential where he helped revamp and establish their LIHTC due diligence models and processes. Before Prudential, Sheffin worked at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (“HPD”) as an Asset Manager for affordable housing assets across New York City. At HPD, he was instrumental in designing and implementing the Multifamily Water Assistance Program for Affordable Housing, which created financial incentives for properties to invest in upgrades that dramatically reduce their water consumption. Sheffin holds a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning with a focus on Economic Development and a minor in Real Estate from Cornell University.
